Divorce. Arm yourself with knowledge

Here are my book recommendations for looking after yourself within the family court system.

Even if you do have a solicitor, its good to be armed with knowledge so you know exactly what your rights are. The less questions you have to ask your lawyer, the less time you need to converse and the less your bill will be! Knowing what's happening also keeps you one step ahead of the game and prevents your ex from trying to pull the wool over your eyes. I think these books are much better than trawling through the internet and you can take them to court with you for quick reference.

Judges have had to start helping those representing themselves in the Family Courts, so you will find that they will ensure you understand the proceedings on the day and explain legal terms if you ask.
